Granito: How to Nail a Dictator

This was a fairly interesting look at how difficult it is to actually prove and convict a dictator or military leader of committing genocide or war crimes. It follows the filmmaker, lawyers, anthropologists, and archivists as they search for evidence around a genocide against the indigenous Mayan people in Guatemala in the early 80’s.

It’s an important story to be told. Though I feel like the filmmaker focused on themselves too much throughout.

Three stars.
