It is a 1954 film from about a mine workers strike and is one of the most feminist and radical movies I’ve seen. The film and the directors were blacklisted (during the McCarthy era) and had to make the film almost in secret. The acting isn’t great (most of the actors are actually mine workers), but the labor and feminist message is strong. I highly recommend it.
